Laura-esque, Pigeon and Pencil, LEAMINGTON

I met Laura on the parade, she was working raising funds for Shelter, i begged her not to waste her breathe on me but I enjoyed her energy and banter. I told her I was looking for women to photograph in pencil skirts feeding pigeons, she immediately pointed to a green pencil skirt in the window of H and M, £14.99.

I said, I would do a picture of her, based on memory of her and stick it in the project. OK it's not quite her as she was more symmetrical than I've drawn her with finer features too but it's fun.

The top was on the mannequin and also in H and M. The shoes were some Padovan's I photographed a couple of years ago.

Super-girl, thanks to her.

Pigeon Pencil Skirt, LEAMINGTON

I think the proportions on this one might be better than the others. It took a few goes to get used to drawing on the large scale.

Pigeon Pencil Skirt, LEAMINGTON

Spent a bit more time on this one, about 4-5 hours. Even went into the park with a bag of seed to get some real pigeon experience and some photographs too.

A big crowd of hungry pigeons flocked around me as i fed them, weird that you can get that experience in the middle of town. They looked very clean and fit and the air shook when they burst into flight at a dog's bark.

A man, another pigeon fan, was drawing me feeding them, you can see him in the background of the photo.

6 foot pencil skirt and pigeon, LEAMINGTON

First of the pencil skirted pigeon feeders to blossom, a little out of proportion, but no worse than a Botticelli.

Even though there was no wind, the paper kept lifting up so these passers by leant a helping finger and stood to show scale.

Thanks to them.

Vintage to Vogue, BATH

An actual vintage shop selling old vintage clothes, from the 20s and 30s up to the 80s. No H and M in here. Great knowledgeable staff too.

Furry White Coat, LEAMINGTON

Another fake fur, I like them, makes the top look big and boxy when worn above tight jeans or leggings. She had a funny t shirt with a cartoon character, like a jap cartoon and some kinky boots. She looked ace, was with her mum or aunty though, and i couldn't be bothered with the oh yeah jokes i felt i would get.

She was holding an H and M bag, but i didn't draw it as it would cover up her legs.

Cashpoint, Leopardskin jacket, LEAMINGTON

I kept thinking Vanderbilt jeans from the early 80s, must have been adverts back then showing very tight jeans and something has stuck in memory. These weren't probably that, looked crazily tight as she waited for the machine.

Cavallry boots, LEAMINGTON

Waiting outside H and M, great brunette walks by in short coat and big boots.

Quilted jacket/jeans/high boots, LEAMINGTON

Hung around the town's Parade, lost my wallet in the process, someone handed it into the police though, thanks to them.

Saw this girl, with a young chap, outside a few times. Another girl had a similar outfit with crazier platforms on and two young men in tow.

Starbucks woman crosses road, LEAMINGTON

She had a great pencil dress on, which she sprang across the road in. A man looked at her and saw me looking at her too, and laughed. She has a Prussian look about her.

No chance of photographing her, as mentioned before.

Leopardskin, H and M, LEAMINGTON

She was going through the men's jeans, so was I, I found a pair of corded slacks for chilling in Ibiza if I was inclined to do such things.

Not sure what she got, don't think it was for her, as everything looked big.

Nott much on, NOTTINGHAM

I saw this woman, but was too chicken to photograph her up by Trent Uni when I was up in Nottingham December 1st. She had a knitted T on and some blue shorts, it wasn't freezing but cold enough for a big coat I felt.
