last friday evening, i saw my postwoman charging down the pavement in a tail coat. I tried catching up with her, hoping to stop and photograph her with some Leamington girl's. But she was too quick. I spoke with her about it since and she's happy to try and do some pictures of her as a man in a top hat and tails with leamington party girls on a night in the town in the next week or so.

Got everything, just need the leamington girls.

With Victorian Black Gemstone Mourning Jewelry, and bustles too.

Would be good to see in front of some Black Wrought Iron Gates, like the ones in Victoria Park.

Funeral Friends, LEAMINGTON

It would be great to go to my friend's dad funeral and find beautiful women in bias cut/big shifty dresses standing around drinking Scottish Whiskey amongst the Glaswegian relatives. Getting disapproving looks from some of the other women but 'oo lovely' faces from the men.

But they might not be there, so here's some drawings.

Black and White Outfit, LEAMINGTON

Very smart, stylish, perfect girl on Warwick Street, this afternoon.

Natural, no tan, bright green eyes too.

Didn't have a camera :9 would have liked to have photographed her.

John Radcliffe Hospital, Cafe, OXFORD.

She could have been a surgeon, doctor, registrar, administrator, manager but she was sitting on her stool with a shoe off waiting for something or other to go buzz.

Gift Shop, Ashmoleum, OXFORD

The Ashmoleum is a massive gallery/museum so i went to their gift shop to find their greatest hits and see what they sell lots of in the postcard department. That way i could see what was on display without running through the galleries (only had limited time).

I liked the woman working there, an efficent officey outfit. She sorted out the postcards after i had chosen one.

I chose the one below as it's by Holbein the Younger and it is 'Figure of an Englishwoman in contemporary dress' and is very much like what i have been trying to do with the blog.

I think i might print a few of these off and slip them into the postcard rack and see if she finds them. Might be fun (for me, unsettling for her).

Chinatown, BIRMINGHAM

Pre-riots, i had been hanging around chinatown a lot. During the riots, Kelly pictured, saw nasty things from her flat window, roaming gangs to say the least. Things have normalised now.
